Kai is the driving force behind CEF’s field operations and infrastructure delivery. With a background in development strategy and innovation, he ensures projects are executed efficiently in some of the most logistically challenging regions of Papua New Guinea. A co-founder of CEF, Kai works closely with government stakeholders, health services, and remote communities to design and implement scalable, community-led solutions. His leadership has been central to CEF’s signature programs, including off-grid solar connectivity and the Safe Birth initiative. Passionate and pragmatic, Kai combines academic rigour with hands-on problem solving to bring lasting impact to forgotten regions.
Alessandro leads CEF’s technology and innovation portfolio, including solar electrification, Starlink internet deployment, and data-driven impact tracking. With a strong background in engineering and systems integration, he designs tech solutions that are low-maintenance, scalable, and locally operable—even in PNG’s most remote and harsh environments. Alessandro has been instrumental in building CEF’s stand-alone solar internet hubs and ensuring their long-term functionality. He also advises on future-proofing CEF’s tech stack, ensuring every digital system—from monitoring dashboards to power regulation units—aligns with community capacity and infrastructure realities. He brings cutting-edge innovation to some of the world’s least connected places.
Ethan is the strategic force behind the Collective Empowerment Foundation’s global voice, leading all public communications with clarity, conviction, and purpose. A graduate of the Australian National University with a degree in Commerce (Marketing and Finance), Ethan blends sharp commercial acumen with a deep personal mission: to give voice to the world’s most overlooked communities. From digital campaigns and social media to donor engagement and brand storytelling, he transforms grassroots impact into powerful narratives that resonate worldwide. His work has attracted international donors, secured high-impact partnerships, and positioned CEF as a credible and compelling force for change. Passionate about ethical storytelling, Ethan ensures every message reflects the dignity, resilience, and humanity of those CEF serves—sparking not just awareness, but action.
As a pivotal member of the CEF team, Jie oversees the financial accounting and management processes, ensuring that the organization meets its financial obligations and complies with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) requirements. Jie’s role is crucial in maintaining transparency and accountability within CEF. She is responsible for implementing and managing effective financial tracking systems, allowing CEF to monitor its financial activity
Ben plays a crucial role in ensuring organizational cohesion and strategic alignment across all of CEF’s operations. As General Secretary, he supports internal governance, documentation, and board coordination. With a keen eye for detail and a strong background in organizational development, Ben ensures that CEF runs smoothly behind the scenes. He liaises across departments, manages internal communications, and oversees key compliance processes. Known for his reliability and calm leadership, Ben is the connective tissue that keeps teams aligned and accountable. His contribution is vital to maintaining the high operational standards required for a registered international relief organisation.
Dr. Jeffery Noro brings decades of scientific and policy expertise to CEF’s board. As the former head of Science & Technology in PNG and a champion of green–blue economic policy in Bougainville, he advises CEF on sustainability, research, and governance. Dr. Noro ensures that CEF’s initiatives align with national development goals while pioneering new frameworks for Indigenous-led conservation and infrastructure. He also mentors CEF’s research arm, guiding thought leadership that influences policy at local and national levels. His wisdom, credibility, and policy insight help ground CEF’s mission in long-term, system-level impact
Doris Ma is a seasoned business leader and the founder of Indulgence Magazine, a luxury lifestyle publication that champions creativity, philanthropy, and cultural dialogue. As a CEF board member, she brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial insight and deep social commitment. Doris is passionate about using business as a force for good and advises CEF on communications, partnerships, and sustainable growth strategies.
